The nail nippers' name ist a manifesto: the Greek word "haptikós" means "fit to be touched". Their ununsual form, size, contours and weight are an invitation to touch and feel, to experience the product tactually. The user senses what is new about "Haptikós" through the skin, the tension of the muscles and the pleasure of handling.

Developed for the growing target group of consumers aged 50 plus, the nail nippers combine a pleasant grip with good transfer of cutting force to the blade. The fulcrum has been moved closer to the blade, thus optimizing leverage. Cutting nails thus become easy and pleasant, and the hand is relieved of any tension.

Adding weight to and expanding the size of the grips also improves the feel of the nippers. The grips fit snugly into the palm of the hand, and their form ensures an optimum grip. The broad surface of the grips means that pressure is applied to a broader area of the hand. The nippers' weight means the user can feel when he is using them correctly. The short joint and short blade facilitate the translation of hand pressure into cutting pressure. This means the nippers can be guided well, and cut easily.

The nippers can be used by both left-handers and right-handers. They are made of stainless surgical steel. Their pure, smooth surface makes them pleasant to the touch.

The nippers are not only functional – easy and comfortable to use – but also simply beautiful. They fit nicely in the hand, and have the appearance of a small sculpture with harmonious transitions. We also liked the fact that the nippers are a joy to touch. Elegant matt surface, very pleasant to the touch.
